Custom Homes: For Homeowners who wish to participate from concept to completion, The Western Carolina Home Place offers custom home construction.  The Western Carolina Home Place only contracts to build custom homes using “Cost plus fixed fee” contracts.  Contact us for an explanation of this process and its benefits.  As part of our overall business strategy, we will only build 8 to 10 custom homes each year.  We prefer to keep the volume low and concentrate on making sure that our customers are completely satisfied.   Click on the following link to see photos of some of our Custom Homes.

Spec Homes: Each year, The Western Carolina Home Place selects 6 to 8 lots on which to build “spec” homes.  Spec homes are built with the intent to market the home just prior to the process of choosing paint colors, carpeting, etc.  This process provides homeowners the ability to make some important decisions regarding their home without having to be as involved as a homeowner building a custom home.
